My new computer parts came in the mail today:
AMD AthlonXP 2600+ 2.13Ghz 333FSB
Asus A7n8x Deluxe NForce2 Motherboard
2x 256MB Kingston KVR400X64C3/256 Sticks
(Im reusing my SB Audigy, my 60GB HD, my CDRW and CDROM, my 425W Power Supply, case, and my floppy drive)
Now ive got a sweet computer...but i cant use it <img src=smilies/angryfire.gif>
4 Days ago during a nice round of Unreal Tournament 2003 on my old sucky computer (533mhz Celeron, i get about 10-15fps lol) i was rudely interupted by my screen going all garbled. I quickly switched off the computer and examined my video card (Xtasy 6964 GF3 Ti500) to find that the fan had died. I popped off the
old fan and examined the chip. No apparent damage, so i ordered a Crystal Orb from thermaltake to replace the crappy stock fan that died. The Crystal Orb happened to arrive today (along with my other comp parts) and i installed it with a nice layer of Arctic Silver III, and booted it up (in my old comp, havent put the new one together yet)....but the bios came up grabled and scrambled (like when the fan died during ut2k3)...my trusty old GF3 is fried <img src=smilies/banghead.gif>
Now i have a sweet 2.13ghz computer and no video card, and no $ to buy a videocard anytime soon<img src=smilies/angryfire.gif>
The only other card i got sitting around is some crap SiS6236 8MB card but it wont work with the new mb because its a 3.3V card
Today sucked bad....
