I recently went to the store to pick up some carbonated beverage. I was looking to buy my favorite... "Mountain Dew". When I arrived at the store I notice a sign that indicated I could purchase 8 liters for only 4 dollars. While this may not sound like a good deal, where I reside the average price per liter is about 85 cents. This was quite a thrill for me as I'm happy to get a good deal on my purchases, especially considering my current financial state. However when I looked at the shelf, I was startled to realize that they were empty. There was not a single bottle of my favorite "Mountain Dew" around.
To.... compromise, I decided to buy another beverage that was the same price. I didn't find any in particular that I liked... so I decided to buy 3 different brand bottles of carbonated refreshment. The flavors I had chosen were "Safeway Select Grape", "Safeway Select Punch", and "Cherry 7-Up".
After making my purchase and arriving at home I immediately noticed my error. I had purchased 3 beverages all with one common flaw. All of the beverages were caffeine-free! I tried to convince myself that it was all subconscious and that I wouldn't know the difference, however, two days later I was overcome with a terrible headache and a feeling of enfeeblement. At around 1400 hours, I felt it necessary to retire. When I woke up it was 2000 hours, my usual time to retire. I decided it best to sleep some more, since staying awake at this hour would throw off my entire internal clock... and unlike Commander Data, I am unable to resyncronize it with the ships chronometer.
This ordeal has yet again showed me my terrible addiction. Hopefully soon I will have the courage to overcome this problem... but until then I'm afraid I'm at the mercy of this... "Moutain Dew".

hahaha yeah, typically i dont do it.... but i thought "well, alex is used to his family storing it in the fridge... and i'm sure it'd help the bread... so why not?" plus it gives me a place to put it... and makes me feel like my fridge isnt totally void of real food ;) .

I literally live off of this stuff (i drink way more than I eat)... so cheap soda is like orgasmic material for me. <img src=smilies/laff.gif>

Close... but not quite.
This person is a little more... umm.... awkward.
(I figured Picard would be a guess... which is why I referenced "Commander Data"... usually Picard calls him "Mister Data"... but not always) </trekkie nerdiness>

Blah... it was WORF! /wwwthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif
Geordi doesn't use all those big words... he speaks normal. Worf always sounds awkward in his speech... using overly big words trying to make things sound more complex than they really are.
At least that's how I always hear him. <img src=http://www.zophar.net/wwwthreads/smilies/laff.gif>
