View Full Version : Getting the wiimote to work on the computer? For emulation purposes?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figured maybe some people here in the general emu section have tried this with the Wii remote. I thought this would be easy, but I'm having a tougher time than I thought I would. I bought a Kensington USB bluetooth thing to hook up the wiimote to my laptop. Apparently it IS picking up the wiimote, shows it has a signal, but now I don't know how to use it, or if it DOES work, or whatever.
Basically, I'm having trouble, how do I simply get the remote (and the classic controller) to act as a basic windows game controller?

I've read around that it's possible. You use a program called GlovePIE to map and script the buttons, and all you're supposed to need (after wiimote) is a bluetooth adapter. A script has been made for Orcarina of Time so that it's just like Twilight Princess.

http://www.wiili.org/index.php/GlovePIEMight be some info here that will help you.</a> I haven't tried this yet myself, but I really want to get a Bluetooth dongle so I can. For example, see if you can find some 'WiiJ' videos (DJ using the a Wiimote or two to mix songs). Cool stuff. :)
