Sprite ripping

Trying to rip sprites from Genesis emulator. Heard that Genecyst is teh best, but my computer is very new and doesn't run Dos. Is there any way I can get it to work? And what about Gens or Megasis? Supposedly they can rip as well, but I'm not sure HOW to rip sprites, so I'm hoping for eitehr an explanation or some kind of FAQ. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
