Ok I am looking to play FF3/FF6 on SNES (ZSNES), I wanted to know what is hands down the best translation hack? I want to have the uncensored dialogue, and I don't know which hack to use. I have never used a hack before either...so if someone can fill me in on how it works that would be cool too.

The best one? The original, unless you want to play the overliteralized Sky Render version. :P

Well, I know they censored a lot in FF6 when translating it for america, and I was wondering if there was a rom hack that is more true to the original script.

If you have the patience to wait, you must play "The FF6 Hack."
Although its purpose isn't to try to copy the original script, it will feature loads of cool stuff, which includes new dialog, maybe you'd be intrested...
Read http://www.zophar.net/wwwthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=romhack&Number=282985&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&part=this thread</a> for more information on it. If it seems to be the thing for you, either reply to the thread, or look for Lenophis on IRC, at "esper.net". He'll be on the channel, "#rom-hacking". (Remove quotes if you want to copy/paste.)
To play a hack, you must use a patching tool to apply a patch (In this case, a hack) to your ROM (your game). Try http://fusoya.panicus.org/lips/index.htmlLunarIPS</a>, it's pretty simple, you'll probably get how to use it if you have gotten this far.
As for the exact kind of hack you're looking for, I can't help you, but you should play this one when it comes out. Though it may be a while, don't be surprised...
Also, I'm not trying to talk to you like you're stupid, but I'm not going to assume anything, so...

Thats helpful but I plan to play the game in a few days on my day off, I would rather have something that is just a straight retranslation. If no such thing exists, I will be on my merry way.

As has been mentioned, the over-literalized translation (http://www.rpgone.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=4) is as close to a straight translation as you will get. It's that or the US version, unfortunately.

Well that or wait two months and pic up the english version of Final Fantasy 6 Advance with a completely retranslated script, and bonus stuff. Which is why it kind of mystifies me why one would be asking for an uncensored FF6 right now.

it's entirely possible that the graphics and such could be still censored.

Hm, personally I've had no issues with the music in the remakes (ports?) for GBA so far...haven't played FF V yet though, I plan to pick it and VI up eventually however.

Actually, all things considered, FF6 Advance sounds great.
