well, i'm not dying. but i did get the standard speech i've been getting for the last 8 years that i need to cut down my sugar intake (high blood sugar and diabetes) and my caffeine intake. pffft

also, i spent the last 3 hours cleaning my new rifle...the ruger mini-14. if i had a cam, i'd take pics. she looks GREAT. it was SO dirty...like it hasn't been cleaned in YEARS. but i painstakingly cleaned every single part...oiled it up, shined it with the silicon cloth...and man it's pretty. looks brand new.

got it used off gunbroker/glocktalk...serial date said it was shipped 1985. w00t

Did you have to get it shipped to a FFL? What is a FFL? (Federal Firearms License)?

How do stores react to you getting stuff bought off the internet shipped to them? So they charge a "shipped it to me" fee?

I know I'm about to be called weird, but this is something I've noticed.

Is it me, or do people (me included) these days tend to use "she" instead of "it" when it comes to things we're fond of (cars, guns, ships, swords, etc.)?

Not really...I think that's pretty much been a standard among people (well men for the most part I'd imagine) for a while....at least the majority of the 20th century. Maybe its just some psychological desire to associate beauty to an inanimate object that someone loves by calling it the one thing most heterosexual men desire most...or it could just be "the way its always been" and that's what we're conditioned to do....oh well.

federal firearms license. any out of state transfers must be shipped to an fll holder. transfer fee is $25.

they don't care...it happens all the time.

I dunno. This is something I've seen creep up within the last few years, but not before. And it's not just the guys. Though "it" still holds the majority with the women I've heard, "he" and "she" are actually a fairly even split.

Maybe

I guess...I don't get it.
