In the weapons laboratories of the United States military, a new breed of war is being developed. The device is not nuclear, biological, or chemical in nature. Its delivery system operates by no modern means of jet or missile based conveyance.

Though long renowned for their size and ferocity, these predators of the Dark Continent are just now beginning to flap their way into a combat role. Field tests and refinement have brought the remote voice parrot command system to nearly 100% accuracy, and initial bunker trials have been "absolutely devastating."

What are we going to do about this new threat? Will weapons of the future such as these tip the world-power balance toward irrevocable ruin?

The Grey Parrot weighs ten stone and can swallow a coconut whole. It is truly a fearsome foe, but the European Swallow still bests it in raw maneuverability. The military's top parrot engineers are working on this problem as we speak.
