it got rainy and cold overnight...so when i woke up i went to shut the windows in my bedroom. the windows are pretty old and have the old twisty lock on the top of it.

anyway, when i went to close the locks i couldn't. half the thing was missing. the thumb piece to push it was broken off. that was weird. went to the other window. same. wtf. went to the window on the other side of the room. same. checked the other windows in the house...fine.

all the windows in the bedroom mysteriously had their lock broken off. it was definitely there when i opened the windows a few days ago, noone goes in the room but me, and maintenance leaves notes if they come into your place.

so should i load up an extra magazine or call the ghost busters?

I'd check to make sure all your stuff is still there, keep the magazines handy, and go to Home Depo to fix it when you get a chance.

I'd say its time to laser trip-bomb the windows...and the front door for good measure. And load up a few extra clips...never know who might show up <img src=smilies/snipersmilie.gif>

Not at all...the only time I was in your room was briefly the one morning I got up before you did

I would invest in an alarm system. Sounds to me like someone tried to break into your room or already did.
