i have a dreamcast with the bundled 56k modem in it. on my main desktop i have a software winmodem. would it be possible to have the 56k connect through the telephone output from the modem, maybe as a proxy server i know there is a broadband adapter available but its very scare to find, and only few games actually work with it. i dont know if there is a server protocol available or something, but i remember getty doing something similar, but with a voice mailbox or something.

actually i solved it for myself,
on linux - http://www.kinox.org/articles/linuxdc.html
on win98 - http://dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/guides_pcdcwin98.php#1
on winXP- ?

apparently all the guides were written back in the day for win98... how irritating.
