Seriously, what is it with you people? If you think exercise and not eating shit food makes you feel shitty, because you're "tired" or "not full enough" or something, you should feel a heart-attack. It's a LOT more uncomfortable than running around the block or doing a few sit-ups. A LOT more.

That may be true, but women want a "big man" to take care of them.

A big man with a big heart attack.

I would even argue that being a fat, unhealthy person in itself is a lot more uncomfortable than doing a bit of excersize and eating better. I've never seen a fat person who looked comfortable... they always look like they're struggling for breath, and that they're body takes a lot of work to move around. And that they're too big to even find a comfortable sitting or sleeping position.

Ironically... I have the exact opposite problem of most people -- I weigh next to nothing. /wwwthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif

I once weighed 330 lbs. (2004), now I weigh 220 lbs (2005 or 2006?)! I plan on going down to my normal bodyweight, as well as growing my hair out long to look like a badass.

I weighed around 260 lbs last winter and now weigh around 215 and I outworked most people in my shop at both weights, and could probably outrun most of them including the skinny ones also.

We have the unique problem in America, that the lower class is generally more overweight than the upper-middle class. This is because the wealthier invest in gyms, healthier diets etc. Here's why we're fat as a country;

People are ignorant. Instead of buying a bag of rice and feeding their families for a week--- they buy a round of big macs and feed their families for an hour or two with nothing but carbs and grease. Then they snack all day. As a student of Japanese, I've found that the Japanese eat less, and eat healthier. A small portion of rice and chicken is more than enough, and they-- in general, find the portions in America far too large to consume all at once (In fact, McDonalds in Japan has no large-- only an extra small, small and medium). I had the benefit of having a chef for a father... he knows how to make good, healthy and incredible-tasting food without spending ridiculous amounts on junk.

Ah, and since we're all telling weights... I'm 6'1 180 pounds

Eat pasta, rice, steamed veggies, steak and potatoes, and stay the hell away from chips and fast food.

Oh, dude... honestly, I'm so spoiled when it comes to my dad's cooking that I find most restaurants sub-par in comparison. Cooking is his passion, and he had a mastry of so many different cultures and styles that I grew up knowing all different kinds of great foods. First love is Italian, and over the last ten years he's studied Japanese cooking and makes sushi and california rolls, he makes french food etc etc. He watches iron chef, and I swear to he could match any of them.

I'm a spoiled biach when it comes to food and wine. I'm used to having swiss steak and salmon on weekdays... then I go to university and eat frozen dinner . Sometimes I come home just for real home food O_O

Have him get on Iron Chef and take Bobby Flay down a few pegs. I have huge amounts of unjustified hatred towards that smug chef.
