Between federal and state, I'm getting back $898!

What should I do now? Hmmmm.....
-Replace my car, which has 309,000 miles on it?
-Save it for when I finally move to wherever it is I move to?
-Buy 898 lotto tickets?
-Invest in some slow/steady growth stocks?
-Get 89,800 pennies?
-Put a barebones computer together?

Looking for ideas.

I'ld either replace the car or save it in case of something unforscene happening, or if you get one of those jobs you've been applying for lately and it's far away this could be used for moving or apartment money if needed. :)

well... I don't really know. Where I'm living, the recession is like non-existent. That's just what I heard.... but yeah,.. I'd probably save my money too.

But I work with the mentally/physically handicapped (ie- high turn-over rate and there's always a need for more staffing). True, I may want to get into other work soon, but I have an opportunity coming up to get $10/hour to do what I'm doing right now :-P

Not up in New Hampshire, it's pretty bad here, but what do you expect when we've got a hyper democratic bitch as a governor, I really hate her. :)

Here too . . . The unemployment rate has been around 14% for several years already. It's kind of hard to feel "the pinch", when you've been getting squeezed for years anyway;-)

14%, shit it's bad here because it went from 2% or so to around 5% but it was mostly factories because New Hampshire does a lot of work with computer hardware and the basic hardware components, the company I was working for had to have a major layoff because we lost a huge order from Via systems right at the beginning of the recession 3/01. :)

It wasn't the consumer that caused the recession, it was businesses trying to save money by lowering inventories and doing last minute purchases and then panicking and the government passing the DMCA didn't help either. :)

Die

Well, not really. I'm just jealous.
The good news is, I'm getting back $53 from the US govt.
The bad news is that I need to pay $80 to the State of MD.
Both amounts are very small in comparison to the amount I had to pay in taxes overall this past year. The whole tax code pisses me off to no end.
