Well, my mom went to her physician for a followup CT scan and X-Rays to make sure that she was okay.
She isn't.
Apparently the people in the emergency room either weren't trained to look at X-Rays well, or something, I don't know, but it turns out that she did indeed break a bone. You know how your ribs are kind of curved projections off of your vertebrae? Well, below your ribs there are also bones projecting out, but they're only about the length of your pinky finger. Still, that's NOT a minor injury when you break it.
Her physician says that she needs to be put on pain medication again, and that she can't do any sort of exercise outside of walking for at least ONE YEAR.
This annoys me a great deal, because when the people took a look at her at the hospital - the hospital, of all places on God's green earth where people should be thorough in checking for injuries - they said she was fine, just pretty bruised up. I can't help but think that maybe if they had gotten the diagnosis right, she wouldn't have been up and about and at work, and spending her free time pulling weeds and planting in the garden, and just making things worse because she got an incorrect diagnosis.
Man, God must be getting pretty tired of me continually asking for help. If it's not my scholarship, it's my grades, if it's not my grades, it's a parent's injury.
