MS Works 2K2/2K3 - Activation?

I got two copies (legit!) of MS Works Suite, for 2003 and 2002, from the flea market. I have one question, though... activation. What happens if someone already activated the program before? I put them on eBay (no link for you!) but a friend of mine just told me that these things need to be activated to be used properly.

I mean, I'm selling the things, but I want to make sure that they can USE it without trouble.

I dunno if this makes sense, I'm half asleep and the caffeine is wearing off. Help?

I believe they can contact Microsoft and order a new cdkey upon proof of the legitimacy of the product...and thus be able to activate it. Oh course they will verify that the current cdkey hasn't been pirated. This is at least what happend years ago--no idea if that's changed. Best thing to do is email a Microsoft support agent and tell him the situation.
