I was just wondering. I have a few videos I have converted from DVD and would like to have multiple audio tracks in them, but last time I tried this with an AVI it didn't work so well. Is there some other video container that can do this ok, or should I be able to do this with an AVI?

Ideally I'd like to just remux the video and audio, and add the new audio track into this other video container without re-encoding anything.

I guess it's time for me to try Matroska. I hope it supports everything I would like (I would like to import VobSub style subtitles into it as well).

Hm...I'll have to look at the software some more. The one AVI to MKV 'convertor' I got last night I couldn't find an option for this anywhere.

I am basing my comment on this:

Software may implement or not this, sadly.
