My Work In Progress

I used http://www.volny.cz/media-tagger/eng/Media Tagger when I was using Windows, I was always happy with that.

Musicbrainz Tagger or the Musicbrainz Picard Tagger (currently in public beta; to replace the MB Tagger eventually I think). Period.
They pull from a the vast musicbrainz.org database that greatly surpasses the capabilities of FreeDB, Gracenote, etc., especially since anyone who creates an account on the site becomes a "moderator" and can add/edit data on the site (which is then voted on by other moderators). Helps to keep the database clear of garbage unlike most other services.
