After spending hours today, I finally got it so I don't have problems missing notes or hitting adjacent strings when I do tremolo picking on my guitar. This has been a goal of mine for some time.

Yay! Now I can play riffs that use tremolo picking

Sweet. I've gotten to the point where I hardly even use picking anymore. Why? Laziness, mostly. My fingers are hard enough now that I just use them. Besides, it's quieter and buildingmates complain less.

It took me the longest time to learn proper finger-picking. I really didn't even try it until I'd been playing for 8 years, and I got a bass guitar. After five years with the bass, my fingers are much stronger and my progress on guitar greater than before. Now I want a fretless bass, maybe a 5 or 6 string.

I don't know if I do it properly, but I love to play "Blackbird" (by the Beatles). It's one of the best and easiest finger-picking songs around! I've written a few songs with finger-picking, but only in small parts.

I've always wondered how well I would do at bass. It seems pretty easy if you know guitar, but I don't want to speak too soon.

After about the same amount of time on an acoustic, my fingers are blistered as hell. It's a good feeling
