View Full Version : Life gets better

On my way home from work tonight, something hit me. I'm not feeling depressed like I have been for so many years. The girl I love is back in my life, and most importantly she's outgrown her old self-destructive habits. All of a sudden I'm able to enjoy the things I almost gave up completely- creating art, going out dancing, writing music, cooking and eating well, minding my appearance, etc. The only love in my life since she left was my car, and now I actually feel like it's good enough and doesn't need my constant tweaking any more. I might even sell my project Isuzu to pay off some debts. Right now all I can see are possibilities, and my obligation to explore them. I have a great artistic talent, and that's enough for me to look in the mirror and feel somewhat satisfied.
I've seen the bottom of the pit of depression, and I promise to anyone who is suffering right now there is a light up there somewhere. Thanks to everyone for listening through my worst days, and know that my support is there for all of you.

I'm glad to hear you're not depressed anymore. And for the second part, thank you, it's nice to know there's always someone who's been through it and knows it's okay in the end. I wish there was an emoticon for how I was feeling right now.

It's just nice to know people care. At a place like this we get to share things that we probably wouldn't otherwise, and that's one way we can help each other. If you've been on the dark side of the cycle for a long time, the brighter days can't be too far off. I've been through some pretty extreme ups and downs in my life. Sooner or later something just clicks, and you figure out what you need to do to get out of a rut.
