Because I've been too broke to buy beer... well, except for the 18-pack I had this weekend, but I was at the lan party so I couldn't chat on here much.

also, because there's this whole war thing going on and the backroom is dominating the boards. better contained tho.

Actually, it was my suggestion. cuz TOTT was full of politics and I just wanted to have fun.

so it was either live with it, ban it, or contain it.

Forgive my ignorance, but, I don't know the implied noun. What is amiss?

Yeah, we haven't had any good developments in shoes in awhile, either.

Nor have any great bands formed recently.

Probably won't know that for a while yet. Greatness takes time.

True.

So...among the more recent bands that've been out for a little while, who would be canidates, should they survive like Carlos Santana, or Eric Clapton, or Sting?

This would be a really good ToTT post. Here are some possibilities:

The Strokes - Could be the next Nirvana....or the next Bee Gees....or, more likely, the next Hootie

Eminem - he'll be around a while whether we like it or not

System of a Down - good songwriting, though I think they should take themselves more seriuosly

Linkin Park - I haven't heard their second release, but their first one was incredible. Of the hip-hop/rock mixes, I like them best.

White Stripes - good sound, but this has the kinks written all over it. let's see if they stay together.

I haven't been too up on music lately given that I have very limited radio access. I hope that will change soon.

Because, life's too short to smoke cheat pot.

And yes, it's been awhile since we've had a good new pop introduced. Vanilla Coke was so-so and Pepsi blue was terrible.
