Ok, I went to copy a 2 disc movie so I bought 2 Kodak DVD-R's at the dollar store, a buck a piece and they come with the full size case. As I go into Nero to burn, the maximum burn speed shows as 2.4x, which in the case of my DVD burner, a NEC ND1300A, is the maximum speed for a DVD+R. I click the button to burn, and I get an illegal disc error. Both of the Kodak discs did this. I grab 2 cheap DVD-R's that I got in a stack of 100 last Xmas and popped them into the DVD burner. I don't know what brand they are. This time, Nero reports the full 4x DVD-R burn speed, and I didn't get the illegal disc error message as I got using the Kodak DVD-R's. Any idea what this means? I only paid 2 bucks for the Kodak discs so I'm not out of any serious money, the 2 fullsize cases alone are worth the 2 bucks I spent on the discs. The Kodak discs even say right on the cover that they are good for 4x burn speed, but clearly something is wrong with them. Maybe they got mislabeled or something?
