The events at 10:30am, EDT (I really hate daylight-savings time. Should just call it nightlife-killing time).

Anyway, I got to be the psycho getting experimented on. I get down there at 25 after, and wait. And...wait. And wait. 15 minutes later, some gal comes down, and asks me if Ben is my name. I said yes. Another guy comes through the door, and, apparently, it's the other half of the experiment. Wahoo. We get lead upstairs.

They said it was supposed to be a perceptual intelligence test. So, they give me this thing in which I'm supposed to recognize spatial patterns (something that I've had an exceptional score on every time). The guy there who was taking a variation on the same test. They gave me 10 minutes. I take it, the patterns are fairly easy to ID. I get done with 2 minutes to spare. The gal comes in, takes the test away. A few minutes later, she said I got 3 of the 15 right. Then she said she had to run, and asked me to grade the other exam, and see how he did. I began to recognize the pattern questions quickly; they were the same, just in a different order. I was also noticing how much my answers lined up with the key. The guy got 3. So, I had the joy of joys of going over and telling him how we did. We were in the lower 10%. Wahoo. I told him I didn't think this experiment was run too well.

A bit later, the both of 'em come over and told me the experiment was about how somebody takes/gives bad news. I asked what I actually got. She said she didn't actually grade it. Gee....

EDIT: oh, I forgot to mention, here in Athens we have Counting Crows onstage tonight. Should I make a cheery sign, get a gun, or ignore it?
