Well, if the new bill get's passed anyway.

Basically, if the bill is passed, big cellphone companies like Telus and Bell will be implementing systems to record and track every conversation you make on your cellphone, unclusing Blackberry phones, among others.
Without a warrant.
So, that means if a cop thinks you're suspicious, they can take every conversation you make on your cell and listen to them anytime they want.
So yeah...Retarded AND an invasion of privacy.
We need a big reform to this government...With Steven Harper pushing his Conservatives into a collaborative push with the NDP and BQ, things are not looking up for the government.
Steven Harper is the perfect avatar of a power hungry politician. He doesn't care about the scandal, to be honest. He's using that as a front to push the current Liberal minority government into a christmas election.
If the Liberals are smart, they won't concede. They'll lose the vote of Non-Confidence, but we have promises of better healthcare and energy rebates. To Canadians, thats more important than right wing ideals.
My guess is that Paul Martin will remain in office, after the election. I'm voting for him, anyway.
EDIT: Wow...That was a tangent and a half...But still worth the rant.
Edited by Blade556 on 11/17/05 10:15 AM.
