My niece...

My niece just had to go to the emergency room. She had a wierd red spot develop under her eye last week and the doc checked it out and said it needed to be surgically removed. They set surgury for monday to remove it, but tonight it just started squirting blood everywhere. My sis called the hospital and at first they just wanted her to pinch it to stop the bleeding, but then they decided that they wanted her to come in. When she got there they kept her for three hours and all they did was pinch it to stop the bleeding like they origanally said and then hand a nice bill to my sis <img src=smilies/angryfire.gif> They could have atleast done something useful since they dragged my sis in and kept her for three hours but all they could do was do what they said on the freaking phone...<img src=smilies/angryfire.gif> The spot looks even worse now and it swelled to almost the size of a small marble. I hope the surgury goes ok monday....

Why is the canadian health care system is better than the US's?
Your sis wouldnt of had to pay for that visit.

To bad. To bad. That is not good. Seems like the doctors dont know what they are doing. I would think they would hospitalize her right away and do surgery to prevent blindness (if that is a possibility)

Are you so sure? My biggest qualm about the Ontario provincial government right now is that they have stripped away all funding and initiated system wide testing to make it more "american"

Just one quick question: Is the quality of the care you get in hospitals in Canada better, worse, or about equal to that in American ones? I have heard both.

Je parle français trés bien, a cause que j'ai étudié français pour sept ans. Si je dois aller a france, je peux surviver.
