hello! im interested in creating an emulator for mobile phones or for the pc, im very decent with my programming and would like to know where can i get information on how to create an emulator, what kinds of software to get to make an emulator and the basic outlines a emulator is made up of, everyone who created an emulator started somewhere, i need some direction and some helpful tips to get me started on creating my first emulator, hopefully u guys know where to go to get this kinda information on how to develop an emulator from either a open source or from scratch :) thanks for ur time

Learn Java. Almost all new Cell Phones use Java Apps nowadays, so thats probably your best bet.
I would recommend starting with NES, so go http://nesdev.parodius.comhere</a> for tons of information on that. You'll need to know Hexadecimal, so look up a good tutorial or go http://pt.parodius.com/arch/lesson1.htmlhere</a> for a good one. Thats where I learned, anyway.
You have to understand that most consoles, especially when you're reverse engineering them, need alot of patience and knowledge to crack. Read up on Assembly/ASM to help you with that.

anyone else out there with some emulation creation knowledge, sites, tutorials, for the cell and PC ?
