NES emu Nestopia v1.20 released 10/6/2005

Nestopia has finally been updated for the first time since 2003. This is a whole new version from the previous release of v1.09.

I love this emulator. It does everything I need. It's the perfect NES emulator.

oh wow! after they hit the two year mark, i figured it might be done for. I'm very excited about the news, as Nestopia was always my NES emu of choice.

It's pretty neat, but although it will let me tweak the window size to my heart's content (640x448 is perfect for NTSC games), it will only remember the window size if it's set to an integer zoom (256x224, 512x448, or 768x672) which is somewhat disappointing. FCE Ultra was willing to remember the window size no matter how irregular the size was.

Aside from that little niggle though, the accuracy was fantastic. I didn't have anything it couldn't handle.

I registered here just to say thanks for this update. I tried an earlier version of Nestopia and wasn't crazy about it. I actually came to this board because I needed help with nnnesterJ. This latest release of Nestopia does everything I need (including awesome GameGenie support) and I think it has now become my NES emu of choice.
