it's one of those mornings where i just can't sleep...so a thought popped into my head about a movie plot.

opening scene a man is talking about a business deal happening later on that week...then he winds up dead.

murders are taking place. everywhere. some people have a criminal background, others don't. each scene has something weird...the evidence suggests the person killed themself. not as in suicide, but as if someone else had murdered them...but the blood type, dna samples, everything is the same as the deceased.

the whole movie goes on and on with that theme...

then in the last few minutes of the film they discover (via the internet) someone who has described this scenario and has been conducting research on it. since they have no leads, they investigate to see if he can shed some light on the subject. when they arrive they see 2 dead bodies...who are identical in every aspect, except one is aged more than the other. one looks like a murder, the other looks like a suicide (the older is suicide). the younger is apparently still alive, but unconscious. they look around and see all the research destroyed, burnt paper, etc...except one booklet that reads "the answer", written by the guy who did the research....and it was dated many years in the future. inside, they discover that in the near future, via genetic research and stem cell research you can, in essence, reprogram ones brain simply by electronically bypassing the hippocampus and "rewriting" the memories. it was originally developed as a crime fighting tool, but the rich and elitist beaurocrats stole the technology and used it for personal gain. they'd kidnap and reprogram the person they want dead, send that person back in time to kill himself. since the person killing himself removes him from the future, the future body disappears but the "today" body appears murdered. in the booklet he says how he must stop it...and the only way is to reprogram himself (so it doesn't chicken out and not stop himself) and kill himself. after they close the booklet, they realize all the answers will be gone once he dies...when they look back, the future body is gone and the "today" body is dead.

closing scene of the movies shows the first guy (businessman) from the first scene going to his business meeting.

At first I thought it was a really twisted American beauty, but I really like the idea. Bravo<img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

that's an interesting premise

if you have time, you should realize that plot by writing a script...

...before i steal your idea :)

Actually, several if memory serves...
