A couple weeks ago, some asshole stole one of the two rocking chairs off of our front porch. My mom filed a police report, nothing ever came of it, though. Well, this morning, I woke up to the sound of my mom talking with another police officer. Apparently someone stole the OTHER rocking chair now, too.
There's an upshot, however, in that one of the two officers saw the people who did it last night and he managed to get a plate number. The weird thing is that it seems to be almost a personal matter, seeing as the people who the plate traces to live all the way out in Jonesboro (, TN), which is 30 minutes away, plus there hasn't been any theft of any other furniture in the neighborhood, either. <img src=smilies/eek13.gif>
Ah well, at least we'll get at least one chair back.
