How do you install patches?

Ok, I admit it, im a n00b. I don't know how to install a ROM patch.<img src=smilies/banghead.gif>

I don't know either myself but if you need help with this you will need at least the type of game the patch is for like super nintendo, nintendo, ect. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

You need the rom (don't ask where to get it) and you need the patch. Assuming the patch is an IPS file, you can use any IPS patcher to apply it. They're all basically the same program, you just choose the rom and the patch and it will apply it. After that, the rom is patched. You can get a patcher from here (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/patchutil.html). I think LunarIPS is a good one, but I don't recall offhand.
