Use Media Player Classic. Its free, and its easy as hell. At least it was for me. I don't remember if I had to configure anything when I first d/l it.

Even if it doesn't fix your problem, it still kicks ass. VLC player is the only video player I use now.

http://www.bsplayer.org/BS Player</a> loads subs and plays the movie quite well. You can change the font type, size, color, etc...I love it, but I personally like using http://www.sasami2k.com/Sasami2k</a> better. It runs good on my slow machine <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>.
Hope that helps :)

Yeah...It's kinda in the wrong language, but you can also find it here:

1. Make sure that the .srt file and the .avi file have the exact same name exept for the file-extention.
2. Start the movie in vlc.
3. In the video menu in vlc there is an option called "Subtitle Track", choose "Track 1". It's set to disable by default.

Did anyone else feel a disturbance in the Force when they opened this thread? It was as though a million souls screamed out in unison and then were silenced...

You mean the fact this is in General Emulation, despite it not being about emulation? Shouldn't this be in tech talk instead?

Well...that, and that there's already a thread about this, and it was a good excuse to make a Star Wars joke.
