It doesn't matter if it's in bold or anything like that people will still miss it. I wonder about this sometimes, I actually have people who come to my work, see me wearing a maroon vest with the company logo on it and a dangly nametag with shiny bits on it, and fixing up the products on the shelves or something, and they'll still ask me if I work there.

I've had this happen to me a bunch too.....one time (and only one time, thank god) I was standing behind the counter. I wanted to slap that woman.

It's an ice-breaker... they know you work there, they're just saying something to get your attention. Some say "Excuse me", some say "Can you help me?", some say "Do you work here?". It all means the same thing. /wwwthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif

I dunoo about that. When it happens to me at my job, they usually ask in the middle of a sentence. "Hi I was.....you do work here, right?" or "Excuse me....you do work here?" And so on.
