I have pokemon Ruby. I am currently hacking the game. I made new characters but i am having some problems. How do i create new events and scripts for my new characters? For example i want to make a person i created give me a certain pokemon when i talk to them...How do i do this? I created new characters and I changed their sprite to make them look like a certan pokemon...but i want to battle the pokemon as if it were a wild battle wen i talk to it...HOW DO I DO THIS? Please Help mE...

Ok, since this is going to become a "flame the noob" thread, I'll at least explain why.

First of all, you're doing a Pokemon hack. Many people hate Pokemon and will flame you just for mentioning it. These people are immature.

Second of all, you have some spelling errors in both the subject and the post of your message. You also typed a sentence all caps, which is very annoying. People will flame you for this in any forum.

Third of all, you're asking a lot. Doing what you're proposing will take a bit of work. Your post almost comes across as "hack this rom for me". Do some research on GBA assembly, step through the rom with a debugger for a while, and then try and figure out what it is you'll have to do. Once you have a more specific question, try asking again.

I was only able to edit events by playing with, well experimenting with, the hex code...I suggest it's a good way for you to start. Download Transhexlation , Thingy and Tablemaker.
READ THE DOCUMENTS.
Then try first by editing the text. But always keep a backup of your rom and for the love of god, KEEP NOTES.

If you don't have any experience hacking ROMs you should start with the simple stuff. For what you are describing it sounds like you are going to need an asm hack. If you have no programming experience whatsoever then it is probably not a good idea to start with assembly. But if you do there are some good docs and tools etc. at http://www.gbadev.orgGBADev</a>.
