last night

last night i was very intoxicated. i went against my better judgement and drank myself into oblivion. i was supposed to be at work at noon. it's now almost 4pm and i'm still not there. why?

this morning i was violently ill and was puking my guts out (as bad as i did when i got real sick a few weeks back) for 8 hours. i feel terrible right now.

Been there. A month ago, I was at a 3-day LAN party. I drank 30 beers in less than 24hrs. Alcohol poisoning for the next day. *play* *stop* *puke* *play* [1 hr later] *play* *stop* *puke* *play*

Then last week, I drank a bottle and a half of wine... woke up in my bed at 11am, 3 hours late for work!! <img src=smilies/cwm10.gif><img src=smilies/headshake.gif>

Oh man. A few years ago when I was working for another car stereo shop I had just been promoted to assistant manager and transferred to the busiest store in San Diego. My birthday was the day before and I was also celebrating my promotion... anyways, I had plowed through 15 or so Bass Ales and most of a bottle of Vons-brand vodka before I passed the fuck out. I woke up at 11 a.m., 2 hours past the store's opening on a Saturday- my first day as A.M.! I was very lucky not to be fired or demoted...

Been there.
I know what that's like. I did that for about five years.
I stopped drinking for 7 years after the last time. That was some twenty years ago. I drink moderately now, don't get sick, and I'm never late for work.
For some peculiar reason, I don't get hangovers, either. Drinking is an art form, kind of. You need to find your limitations and stick to em.

That's alcohol poisoning for sure, I drank that way for years, would drink as fast as possible for 6 - 18 hrs straight and start drinking if it was the weekend 6 hrs later, eventually I caught hepatitus B *liver disease, can be fatal* from this girl I slept with and now I might drink 6 beers a year because I get that way just from 3 or 4 beers sometimes. <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

I drank heavily once and I threw up three times. That was enough for me, from then on I only drank lightly. I'm told I act drunk (or stoned) by nature anyway, so why bother?
