Ladies and gentlemen, it is very rare that a ROM hack comes along which better acheives the purpose of its original game.
Think Sonic 2 Delta. Think Mario's Adventure.
Hacks that take the original goal and go beyond.

Obviously, THQ and the Sonic Team intented to make one GAY game.
Well today, we have gone further.

Me and ShadowChaotix/SGR have over-dealt the game's original theme, with an audio overhaul (not music though, ugh) and minor graphics tweak. It is none other than:

Sonic Advance 3: Extreem Manseckz

With more mangrip and pwnage then you can shake a rofl h47 at.

A track named "I R EMO =(" in the sound test? Menu names like "OMG WTF", "XD ROFL", "OMG HAXOR", and "LOLOLOLO"? "ph34r 7eh SEGA"? "a hot mangrip orgy not unlike a manifest of hawt boi on boi ackshon 8====D"? A level named "Hentai Hill" and another named "Notable Nipples"?

I feel stupider for having even looked at those screenshots. I hope you and the rest of the people that worked on this travesty of ROM hacking are all having a mutual circle-jerk in the living room of your parents' house while watching pornography of a bestial nature when an 18-wheel tractor trailer loaded to its carrying capacity with propane tanks and barrels of fluoric acid goes out of control and crashes into said house, spilling the latter contents forthwith across all of you, causing your extremities to melt away as you scream and thrash in exquisite pain, whereupon the diesel fuel in the tractor trailer's fuel tanks catches alight, setting fire to your melting, screaming bodies, thus causing all of the propane tanks contained within the tractor trailer to violently detonate, sending fragments of metal and intense flame within a several hundred yard radius, embedding said fragments into your now melting, screaming, and burning bodies, also killing all of your family pets, and hopefully your parents as they, too, arrive at the same residence for a likewise mutual circle-jerk, for they, too, do not deserve to remain alive for having brought such mentally deficient fucks into the world. Furthermore, I hope that once your burning, melting bodies have expired and are no longer imbued with life, and have also stopped burning, a group of burly, petulant members from a motorcycle gang, being particularly enraged due to a flared-up syphillis infection, discover your still-smoldering and soggy remains, and proceed to gouge convenient holes in your corpses from which they slake their lust, performing necrophilic sex acts upon your lifeless corpses, and afterwards using your corpses as a urinal, filling your bodies with urine, like an organic water balloon filled with human piss, then throwing your bodies into the street, where your corpses are hit by a passing motorist, causing your piss-filled bodies to explode upon impact, raining human remains and biker urine upon the surrounding populace, who exit from their houses in a blind rage from having their houses spattered in retard remains and urine, and they proceed to set your small bits and pieces of remains on fire, letting said bits and pieces burn to ashes, which they then sweep into a collective dustbin, selling the bin of dust to a homeless person under the guise of magic dust, which the homeless person hides from the authorities in the crotch of his unwashed pants, thus dooming your burnt, ashen remains to a life against the genitalia of an unkempt hobo for the rest of his natural life.

I think the laugh apeal of the "this is so awful" hack is that they just sort of appear in a Goodset. If someone just torrented all teh romz and then started going through the Hacks folder and stumbled upon this, it would probably be funny. The fact that you announced it seems, to me at least, to take away almost all the humor.

There are alot of really good hacks that don't even touch graphics or even edit very much text. So you've hacked a GBA game...do you expect a cookie? Any of the experienced rom hackers in here (including myself) could hack a GBA game...it's not that big of a deal. You come in here sporting a simple minded spoof hack and expect the emulation community to put you on a pedastool JUST because you've hacked a GBA game? omg hax u r t3h ub3r 1337 h4x0r Give me a break. <img src=smilies/upeyes.gif>

Here's a Zophar's Domain Top Tip: Try hacking more than a couple of sprites and a few menus/text by editing actual GAME CONTENT and GAME ENGINE CHARACTERISTICS. Text and graphic editing are so generic, seriously.

I didn't ask for a cookie, actually, I didn't ask for anything. I certainly didn't for a bunch of flaming from people who have done zip in similar categories (i.e. audio hacking, etc).

Maybe you COULD. But will you? No. You don't even bother to tweak GBA games this much (which honestly isn't very much), and even though it might not be considered 'good', I have a GBA hack, which is more than you can say.

the simple fact of the matter is that you don't have any clue what people here can and cannot do. I don't care what you've done with the Audio, although i'm interested from a programming standpoint, if you used all your 'great audio hacking talents' just to have a character say, "l337!" or "manseckz!". Even my curiousity for the hack on a technical level would be lost at the first l337speak reference. Certainly nothing that's going to make me start doing backflips, or to make me forget about how idiotic this hack's premise is.

I know very well that the people here could essentailly make a game for any system. But being able to make something is not the same as making it. If you are trying to imply that being able to speak french is the same as speaking french, I have to disagree. Applying your knowledge, even if close to no knowledge. Sorry about the arrogance, it is a little on the rude side, but people visiting here don't seem to mind when people are rude, so we'll have to get used to it. Anyway, as I said before COULD hack is different that DO or WILL hack.

As for this entire topic, it seems like there's this overlying theme that he hacked a GBA game and is therefore special... it's not that hard, I've done it before (Never released anything though), others have done it, it's not hard.
