View Full Version : Looking for Terranigma, North America version (Not Europe)

The game is on E-bay, but I'm not spending the extra money to buy a converter or a PAL SNES console.
Does anyone have this they would be willing to sell, perhaps even donate? It's probably one of the rarest games for SNES (English) in existence.
Many thanks go to the seller <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

Er... if someone's selling an NTSC English copy of that, they're selling a pirated cart. As far as I know, it was never released in the USA, only in Japan, and in Europe.

I was gonna say you could get the euro version and solder in an NTSC lockout chip, but the game code checks for tv timing, and since an unmodified american snes does not do PAL, the game will lock up at a 'not for use in an american snes' screen. you would need to patch the game to disable this check (ucon64 will do it) then burn it to an eeprom or flash chip. would be a cool cartridge though.

Indeed. NSRT is quite a lot better...hell, I found a GoodSNES ROM called Illusion of Gaia (J). You'd think then it would be the japanese version of Illusion of Gaia, right?
Nope, it's a beta of the US version. You can very obviously tell this by actually playing it for even 1 minute. Then there's the fact that all of the ST ROMs I have obtained from the GoodSNES set have the bios smushed onto the actual game ROM...not a huge deal I suppose, it's just rather weird. I don't know how that can be counted as a good dump (or rather, valid dump).
