today at lunch, i was bet i couldnt eat a whole extra large pizza for $5 ( i am pretty skinny so i they think i dont eat much) well, i ate the whole thing, got the $5 and went to the vending machines, WOOO!

the other day, i got a broken atari 2600, WOOO! again, i am currently making my own version of a portable 2600. i also found someone with a 2600 in the box with the original price tag on it that i might buy :)

while doing my homework for HTML class, me and Josh went to talk to a teacher about her webpage we are making for her, and, instead of us getting answers for the questions we had, we got signed up for Business Pros. of America doing the C++ , VB, and HTML contest <img src=smilies/crying.gif>

I take it those were the vending machines that also vend Tums, Rolaids, etc.?

How are you planning to supply the 2600. I'm just curious. It's onld technology and was never meant to be portable. When modifying the olders system, you might find you have a large current draw. I know i can only get about 20 pictures off my Digital Camera because it has a current draw of 2 Amps and runs off 4 double A's.

So, are you going to rebuild the board using equivelent low power chips when you can? Or will you just modify the old system to make it fit into a small box?

This just sounds like a neat project to me. Also, i think you should take a look at the broken Atari. There probaly is just somthing minor wrong.
