The following poem was written out of that wonderful combination of boredom and frustration from a current inability to come up with new story ideas, or at least short stories and serialized novellas, which are my typical contribution to something like the Pantheon. --- i originally intended this as a part of a school publication of writings and artwork by students, i am a regular contributer to it :) i just figured i'd share the wealth with you, my friends at zmd :P

I threw in the last verse because people tend not to pay attention to the true purpose of a story: to learn in an enjoyable manner.

The Great Teller of Tales
by Drew Patridge

What doth ye desire of me,
___The Great Teller of Tales?
Doth ye desire a land historic;
___The lore of yore?
Doth ye desire perchance the other;
___The lore before?

What doth ye desire of me,
___The narrator ensnaring?
Doth ye desire a fantasy?
___The lore of Heroes, or…
Doth ye desire fictional science?
___The now questioning lore.

What doth I desire of thee,
___The Great Listener to Tales?
What doth I desire of thee,
___The audience ensnared?
I doth desire of thee but one thing:
___That ye might listen,
______Wisdom, Knowledge, beholding!
