View Full Version : Help! I think I'm a Poser

My Name is Sean and I'm a Poser

I'm ashamed, embarassed, apologetic. The noun 'poser' is used to identify an individual
whom seeks acceptance into a certain niche of society by mimicking in an obvious and
laughable attempt the more recognizeable traits and skills of that community unsuccessfully.
My friends, I can be labelled a poser of an RPG fan society. You might be wondering what the
meaning of this is, so I'll help to settle any confusion with, first, an oddball analogy, and
then a description of my situation and the remedy. All of which are on the second half of
my .txt attachment.

Be grateful, if the status you're trying to attain is sitting around and playing RPGs all day.

Heh. We should all vote for Dragon Warrior 7. That'll keep him in his room for at least 100 hours <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>.

I didn't finish Tales of Phanasia because I found it boring after awhile. FF5 and all the Zelda games I did complete, but I'm not really a huge gamer when it comes down to it.

Hmmm...

I dont know how to respond to this post. On one hand, this looks like a guy with a very bad position on priorities who needs to seek help. A guy guilty as a RPG community poser, never thought i would see the day........

On the other hand, this also looks like a very creative advertisement for his website!

So my advice, get a gameshark or stop advertising. With a gamesahrk you will be able to finish the games quickly (especially if you are like me and play the games for the story, not the challenge. I hate spending hours doing nothing but leveling up).

pfffft.

I should post my collection of owned but not completed RPGs. It's quite ...massive.

As long as you play the games from time to time, it doesn't matter if you ever beat them.

In other news, I'm about 80 hours in Star Ocean 3, and completing it would be completing my 2nd PS2 RPG ever (the first was FFX, about a year ago)

If you have a full time job to uphold or anything else resembling a social life, let the games sit on the shelf. They're there for when you're bored. Chill out. :p
