Hey,

Im having trouble getting Mortal Kombat to work. It may be bad ROMS, but does it need some kind of hard disk image, or supplemental file? While searching for the problem I found out some games like Killer Instinct require such a thing to work, but cant find info on Mortal Kombat. I happened to get the NeoGeo files by pure chance. Advice on where to find such files if so?

some versions of mame have a 'rom version' to match it. You might have an older version of MK.

MK does not require any other files to run, just the zip file.

I didnt know supplemental files counted as ROM requests. (did read the FAQS) OK, good to know.

The supplimental files (like neogeo.zip) are bios files that are needed for some games to run. Mortal Kombat's hardware does not require one.

It sounds to me like you have part of a split rom. Does it give you any kind of error messages when you try to run it? How big is your mk.zip file?

Wait...I thought you were asking for like a harddrive image (though not technically a ROM, it's still copyrighted and a part of that arcade hardware) or something. You said it in the same breath as saying how you found the Neo Geo BIOS ROM, so I dunno. Maybe I misunderstood you.

*edit*
And yeaah, the Neo Geo BIOS may be a BIOS, but it's still a copyrighted ROM.
