I've been thinking about nightmares recently. I just had one last Saturday actually. It wasn't a scary nightmare thankfully, but I woke up half happy half sad. Basically, I was at college, walking back to my car along with the girl I really liked in tennis over the summer, and some Asian girl who was supposed to be her friend in the dream. Basically, I was walking and talking with both of them, and the Asian girl kept laughing...but more like laughing at me than at what I was saying. So I kept getting the impression that I was being a dumbass of sorts, and that's pretty much the dream. I was happy to have dreamt about the girl I liked, but not happy that I was striking out in the dream. It's weird cuz it was like the simplest dream I've ever had, but it still filled me with emotion.
Then the thought came to me...if I ever made a movie, it would be an M. Night Shyamalan style movie about the nightmares a person has...sorta like in Signs, where there's the somewhat boring daytime happenings, and then at night, the guy falls asleep, and the nightmare begins. Since I've had nightmares of just about all sorts, I would probably make the nightmares different types...some pretty terrifying, some just painful in an emotional way, and some just twisted and weird.
Chances are, if I really made the movie, then I would put in the scariest nightmare I've ever had. It was a two-part one...first part was complete darkness, but I could hear a little girl and a very very evil man voice both singing a very creepy tune (was creepy enough if just the girl sang it). After a while, they both start hiccuping and the hiccuping keeps going til the sound fades out and I think I'm waking up. The room is dark but has enough light to kinda see everything in the room. I look at the clock and it's 3 AM. So I start going back to sleep when my door opens very slowly (with a slight creaking noise). When it's fully open, nothing happens for a few seconds...then all of a sudden, the grim reaper speeds in, and swings his scythe hard and fast, ripping my gut open, an 2 seconds later I wake up. I woke up at 1 AM, even though I had gone to sleep maybe an hour earlier. There was no way in hell I could get back to sleep after that. <img src=smilies/errrr.gif>
So yea...just had to get that out.

I had the most frightening nightmare of my life about two weeks ago. The bottom line is that it involved Anna Nicole Smith throwing me to the ground and riding me like a dime store pony. I haven't been able to sleep right since.

I had a nightmare last night where I fell into a pit of ants and couldn't escape.
Other nightmares I've had in my life...
1. Falling off a bike and getting hit by a train.
2. Drowning
3. Being stung by a bee (Haven't a clue why)

I dunno.. that is just the first thing that came to mind...
Well I know that's why I dreamed it (I know that Freud character pretty well). It just seemed odd that I'd dream it over a month after seeing her last.

Another death dream I remember having is me riding on a bike along the edge of a cliff (for no apparent reason). I fall off the side and am free-falling for a while before I wake up...scared the hell out of me, cuz I felt the free-falling in my stomach. I've also had that classic "death in a Wild West shooting movie" nightmare. It starts out with me shooting and killing every bad guy I see with 1 shot, then all of a sudden I get shot, die, and wake up. I'm glad I haven't had that one more than a few times.

Yeah I hear ya. You can get pretty emotional during dreams. More so than when your awake.
But do you ever get empowered during nightmares, where you know it's just a dream?

God...that used to happen to me all the time, but I haven't had a sex dream in probably over a year. But yea...I would get really close and it just wouldn't be happening. Plus, sometimes, it will magically zap to AFTER the sex. It feels like I just had sex, but I don't even remember having the sex...I just know I did. Dreams like that are both good and bad feeling.

That reminds me of the time my friend yelled "stop" in Japanese (he said yamate, not yamero, so at least he was being sort of polite =P ) while he was very drunk and me and another friend were walking/carrying/dragging him home. (He's Tennessean, not Japanese, so it seemed odd that he would speak in a foreign language --albeit one he had studied-- when he was inch away from unconciousness.)

I was gonna say...if he didn't know Japanese, that was a pretty good correct guess of that word. I have no clue how to speak Chinese, so that dream in which I spoke it was funny.
