It´s illegal, i know that. I don´t care about the music, just the names. Many many things is illegal on the emulation scene, more or less. The reason i post was that i can´t find a way get the real names for all tracks. The cd is extremly rare, just released in Japan 13 years ago, so the chance to find one is very small.

Sorry...

Then why did you post it? Perhaps you forgot to look at the rules.

1) ROMs/Illegal software

Requests for or links to commercial ROM images, BIOS images, illegal software, and anything else along those lines are not permitted. The moderators will remove both the post and you.
---

If you're looking for the track names as opposed to links / direction to the actual songs, then I suggest you edit your first post to make that more clear, otherwise you're going to get banned.

Nope.

Perhaps you should.

Also, illegal request blah blah blah, unless you reword it into a "anyone know where i can purchase this OST" kind of request.

I change my post a bit. I should read the rules better next time, i´m sorry for that...

There is something i thinking about. The music in the archive is strictly forbidden. The originators and companys behind the music lost their money because of this. Zophar has not the right to distribute this music. Mutch of this work is also published on cd, the same orginal versions. Is´nt that illegal...? tell me. The whole emulation scene is more or less illegal. I love it, but i don´t think the right-holders has the same opinion...

Then i think about it, this ZD rule
is just pathetic, i was only asking
for a few mp3´s, i can´t beleve it...

That's a good point, no one's ever adequately explained to me why that is less of a problem than hosting ROMs.

Oh, and a little searching will go a long way: http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/vicl5179.html

I always assumed that it was because it was only audio data....basically that the audio data isn't the actual GAME part of the game...if that makes sense. Not that audio isn't important in a game, but basically that it's not enough for the company to care about it being hosted.

Besides...what the hell do you call a RAM dump of the SPC chip in the SNES when you're suing someone?

This is like killing someone then telling the police officer "yea I knew it was illegal, I just needed his wallet".

Think about things before you type/speak them, or you might get burned.

Nah, afraid not. Anything comprising part of a copyright work (within reason) is itself subject to copyright. It'd be like me posting five chapters of a new book in the Talk of the Town forum. Otherwise, someone would be able to rip the music, someone else the graphics, someone else the engine, etc of any given game legitimately. Then the game could be reconstituted and you'd have a shiny new game legally ripped. I don't think they'd let that fly ;)

Zophar is a big dog, the biggest of dogs. We have to tread lightly over the waters of the emulated games and stick to the emulators and utilities themselves. I mean, I think it's safe to say nobody here has an ethical problem with downloading ROMS... it could just get ZD in trouble. As for music files, Nintendo hasn't gone all ape shit about them yet.

I think its pretty stupid to flame someone for asking for illegal stuff, seeing that this is basically a piracy board and I'm sure everyone here downloads roms and mp3s illegally.

Well duh. The point isn't to keep things legal, the point is to keep leechers and newbies from coming to forum and asking for roms. Of course they're going to get flamed when they do it anyway.

So....the personal habits of individual users off of this site and board implies the functions of this site/board? Wow...that's an impressive correllation to make

Well yes, I realize this...I just mean that only the audio is probably not enough to get Nintendo angry enough to bother with it.

Think of it as the "too much of a pain in the ass to bother" factor.

Thank you!

We can inform them of their error and delete the thread. Repeated offense = ban. Flaming, however, is idioc. Somebody make this man a mod.

I did enjoy his musings. It's been awhile since I've been called names....since my sister grew up and I'm no longer in junior high, I don't really get to hear it much anymore.

I'm glad I can rely on ZMD kiddies to bring back my childhood

Haha, since when has this ever stopped Nintendo's legal department?
