At the moment I am getting into tracking with ModPlug, and I've downloaded a fair share of samples to use, but I've been wondering if there were still programs that worked like the old SPC to IT converter program, or if there were some easy way to pull the samples from the songs. Thank you.

I've been archiving samples for a few years now and just started putting them on my site. I've gotten a few PSX games done and plan on doing more games for more systems that use the *SF format like nsf, gsf, etc. I have a tool that I use to rip raw waves from the *sflib or *sf (psf) files and I just loop it myself. For PSX you can simply uncompress the PSF/PSFlib and make a PSX executable out of it, then rip the waves/samples. I haven't used it in about 6 months so it's on a CDR/DVD somewhere and I just have to find it. As a bonus for a fellow tracker here's a nice little sample you might enjoy that isn't on my site yet. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>
