Hello everybody ! Soon, there will be a new site for Mega Drive \ Genesis music. I´m a great fan of all FM music, so i decide to create a page for my GYM loggs. There will be a forum and many downloads. I have written a document how to hack edit and trim GYMz, with many useful hexadecimal codes etc. I plan to make at least one or two new GYM packages a month. Before the summer all GYMz will be updated.

Two years ago i started to logg Genesis music, i found that this formate has a few problems. GYM players chuld not play the PCM data from many games. I spend the last 6 mounth to find a way to logg and activate the PCM chanell, now i know how to do. The result can be heard in Mega Turrican, Minnesota Fats, High Seas Havoc, Side Pocket and Virtua Fighter 2. I try to make all my GYMz in the same standard, two loop cycles and a perfect cut at the last note, than 3 sec of silents. Ahh, my damn english !...sorry.

My latest GYMz :

* Asterix - And the Power of the Gods
* Battle Master
* Battle Squadron
* Devil's Course
* Gaiares
* High Seas Havoc
* Lethal Enforcers
* Lethal Enforcers II - Gun Fighters
* Master Of Monsters
* Mega Net
* Mega Turrican
* Monster World IV
* Minnesota Fats - Pool Legend
* Mr. Nutz
* Ms. Pac-Man
* Side Pocket
* The Faery Tale Adventure
* Sword Of Sodan
* Wailalae Golf
* Virtua Fighter 2
* Zoom!

Just for now, you can download them at,
http://www.flonkus.com/gymfiler.htm

If you have any GYM request,
just tell me... Bye bye friends !

I like the Zoom ones. I didn't realize the tempo was that fast though... I remember back playing it on Genecyst where the tempo was slower. I am also pleased you managed to get them without the sounds.

It's a good collection. Speaking of Sega music, wasn't there a thread that spoke of a new Sega format in the works similar to the GSFs and PSFs?

This is because Zoom has a sound test, that can be recoreded from, sfx free.

That´s right, i logged that one in a soundtest...

But all soundtracks was not that easy. In order to make Mr. Nutz and Battle Squadron i had to hack the rom to remove all SFX, not easy to find the right HEX address. Mega Turrican and High Seas Havoc was the hardest ones, to get the drums working in all songs i had to hack the GYMs to activate the PCM. I really love this hacking, but it takes a lot of time. Hope someone will like them, they are some of my all time favorite MD\GEN soundtracks.

Next up, Landstalker, Puggsy, Crusader Of Centy (Soleil) and Warriors Of Rome I-II.

It does? I don't see one in my version of it... Or maybe it's a hidden thing like the Sonic 3 level select code, which also includes sound test...

Neill Corlett's Highly Theoretical plays SSF (Saturn) and DSF (Dreamcast).

I think perhaps he means the format being worked on by the fellow from Gens+.

I have been waiting for the archive update a half year now. I see no point to continue my GYM loggings for ZD any longer. What´s the problem...?
