For anyone musically adventurous, I recently got to listen to a pretty slick album. My brother handles orders at a small-time indie label called Asthmatic Kitty (http://www.asthmatickitty.com) (Sufjan Stevens, Liz Janes, The Castanets) and he had me listen to a pre-release copy of "Born To Be A Motorcycle," the debut album by Bunky (http://www.bunkymusic.com). I'm not exactly sure what you'd call it, maybe sort of a punk-funk or something like that. I was pretty impressed though. So if anybody is into that sort of thing they have a couple sample tunes on their website.

John Batdorf and James Lee Stanley's http://noted.blogs.com/westcoastmusic/2004/10/john_batdorf_an.htmlAll Wood And Stones</a>. It's effectively a CD of Rolling Stones songs, played only on acoustic guitars, and it's extremely well done.
Since I'm volunteering at the local radio station - WETS-FM - during my free time, I have the pleasure of practically having my own American Idol every day. See, bands and record labels from all around the country send the program director their latest CDs. Granted, he doesn't get sent all genres, it's mostly just Americana (bluegrass, acoustic guitar, blues, and the like), but he and I typically end up reviewing upwards of 5 or 6 CDs per day. A good portion of the CDs are patently crap (the program director has bins and bins of CDs that didn't make the cut, it's getting to the time of the year when he loads them into his car and sells them all to the local used CD store), but some of them are gems, like this one.

Am saying haw!
Seriously, though, it's probably the best name for the station, since it's short for [whatever the W means] "East Tennessee State".
