Seems ok so far. They have a nice selection, and a 4-week trial is pretty nice.

I got a subscription to that for Christmas, but I'm trying this one because it's free.

No, I gave up on the iPod thing long ago. This one I'm genuinely interested in, especially if I can burn and return all the CB DVDs before my trial is up.

Do you know how much free shit Blockbuster gives people for being a member of that? A few months ago it was a free copy of Shrek 2. Coming up it is free ben and jerrys ice cream (which is normally like close to $5 a pint so not bad). I very well may join just for all the free bonus shit. Plus the anime dvds. *drool*

Amen.

When it was first introduced [the Blockbuster one] I was still working there. Another employee had signed up to it, and had an older movie queued [one that had been recently remade -- he had the original in queue]. They sent him the new one, and he sent it back and requeued the original. They sent him the new one again, and he called Blockbuster and complained. They said they'd fix it and send him the old one. He got a movie in the mail from them a few days later, and this time it wasn't even the right movie! He called them again, and got the same line of bullshit. He sent both back, and got the new one AGAIN. It was at that point that he said fuck it and dropped the service.

I think in the six months I've been in Netflix, I've had one issue, and that was that the disc didn't show up. That was easily handled.
