NTSC game on a PAL N64?

I'm considering bidding on this, but I dont know if i could make it work in a PAL (n64) system.

From what ive read, it is possible to play Japanese games in a non-japanese (problay tried with an ntsc) console by removing those platic tab things inside the n64 where the cart goes in. However this seller says, "BOTH ARE NTSC VERSION SO THEY WONT FIT IN A PAL SYSTEM" (i dont think he used enough capitals there).

anyway, my question is, if I remove those plastic tabs, will i be able to play NTSC games on my PAL n64 (like the jap mod), or not?

Not that I know of, you need an NTSC N64 and a scan converter so you can view it on your PAL TV.

I've played Japanese and British carts on my American 64 with the Gameshark...(Sometime the colors were a little funky) I'd wager that the PAL version has the same capability.

converting NTSC to PAL isnt a problem, i run my n64 through my video player, which can do that. HTSC n64 hardware on the other hand is a problem... :-(

hmm, i may consider bidding on it if almost no one else does then. a problem is that it would be hard to get a gameshark tho...
