Okay, not that i was expecting too much out of it, but the $10 NES i bought on Ebay doesn't quite work. I checked the 72-pin connector piece figuring i could fix it myself attacking the most usual fuckup. I bent the pins back but no dice.

Instead of ordering and waiting for a new 72-pin connector (which is the only thing i can think of to attempt to fix) when that might not even do a damned thing, i'm just wanting to buy an absolutely working, no bullshit, no adjustments required NES <img src=smilies/liefde.gif>

Anyone?

72 pin works if it powers on and blinks, if not then its probly trash. I have an extra one that works with a new 72 pin thats missing the black piece around the controlers. I wanted to sell for 60 or 50 at lowest (the local store price here) to make some money but I have no idea if I could sell it like that.

Your best bet is to put down the cash for a top-loader. Toaster NES's at this point are almost gauranteed not to work., or work with too much difficulty.

Eh? My toaster NES works just like it did back in the 80s. Maybe I'm just lucky? However, it's not for sale, I still play it way too much.

I picked up a NES at a Goodwill for $3. I bought a replacement cart reader for $16, and used a Radio Shack universal power supply I had laying around -- and BOOM. Working NES. Actual money spent? $19.
