just got back from the range...posted this over at the glock forums:

Attached is a digi pic of the target I just used...shot 100 rounds.

I modified my grip, did a lot of dry firing, and I must say that I shot *SO* much better today than before. Drying firing really helped with the trigger control and the grip helped me recover from the recoil.

I did 30 or 40 rounds between 6 and 9 yards, then the rest between 9 and 13.

The last 20 rounds were all double taps and a head shot follow up.

I asked the dude at the range why some of my shots are going WAY low, and he said it may be because of overcompensation when recovering from the recoil, or my first shot just sucked.

Opinions? Critiques? Pointers? I'd say it's not bad for only owning a handgun less than a month.

FYI, it's a Glock 19

Dry Firing - Pulling the trigger on an unloaded gun. Also used to describe pulling a bow without any arrows.

i have a glock...you can dry fire a glock a zillion times without damaging the assembly. doesn't even need any lubrication.

When I dry fire, my woman needs lots of lubrication.

Yeh that's not bad for a hand gun I guess, then again, I have never shot a hand gun. I like my rifles.

Excellent shooting. I love to use the double-tap method, yet I'm stuck with a BB pistol and a rifle. I should stop with buying those toys and get a real gun.

If I say an average of 10 yards, that's 30 feet. If someone is more than 30 feet away from you, shooting them would be considered unnecessary use of force.

I'm in this for self defense...not marksmanship at 25 yards.
