Seriously...I'm sick of this home bus. shit...I wanna go work 8-5 M-F and make some cash and get some benefeits...so why are these companies not hiring? And no I seriously don't believe in this 9/11 crap being the problem in the corporate world--unless you work in retail or airlines. Insurance, commercial sales, commercial loans, banking, and even mortgage companies aren't hiring (this after the lowest rates in years). What gives? I don't really expect an answer I'm just pondering...

Where do you stand academically? All I can say is try to get what you can for now and work torwards other things.
Oh, isn't it 9 to 5 and not 8 to 5? Unless you want that schedule.

Companies are scared to hire more people, because of the mere perception that the economy is bad. Here, we've had people leave, and management doesn't want to hire anyone to take their place. They just spread around the workload. And we're a Defense Contractor for God's sake.

Extra hour a day means about an extra day's pay at the end of the week. And my acedemics suck...but my experiece is overwhelming. I have MORE experience than any poor sap from college but no degree so I apparently don't exsist.

That's the conclusion that I've reached as well...the Dow could be @ 20,000 and places would be still scared.

My dad works for Georgia Pacific. They layed off their night shift workers and let my dad and a friend of his work day shift. We all know the plant is no going to last long. We're just holding out until they do so he can get his severance pay.
