Well, I finally got that laptop today. You know the one, right? The one that I bought over 4 months ago, and the guy kept giving me lame-ass excuses. I totally did not expect him to finally send it. It's a nice little machine, needs more RAM 'cause it disk-swaps like hell if I open more than 2 windows, it's running Windows 98 with 16mb RAM. One bad note about it, there's a 1 1/2 inch or so band on the screen that's dead, or something. IT's a smallish scren, so it gets annoying, especially when it gets right in the way of IE's toolbar and address bar, but it works great on a monitor. Kinda ruins the portability of it, tho. I guess I should email the guy and let him know I have it, ya think I should?

Nah! You should email him and ask for your damn money back! Unless you knew about the screen problem when you bought it.

No. Email him and tell him you never got it. Maybe you'll get your money back or something!

Sounds like a good laptop, though. (Way better than mine.) What speed is it?

It's a Pentium 120. It'll play NES games pretty good, but nothing higher. Unless the screen was damaged in shipping, I was not aware of any problems with it.

I'll check tonight, but I think it's an older version. I'll pm you the exact version number. It runs damn near full speed on mine, ought to run damned decent on yours.<img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

I seem to remember version 0.800 ran fast on my old Compaq desktop, anything after that just got slower
