Hey, this is just newbish curiosity, but I'm wondering what consoles out there would be capable of emulating a N64 in realtime. So far the only console I've seen an N64 emulator for is Xbox. Would say, a PS2 or Gamecube be capable of emulating a 64? Thanks in advance for satisfying a newbie's curiosity!

I don't know about the PS2, but if I recall correctly, the Gamecube emulated some games like the Legend of Zelda games for the special edition disk, and Animal Crossing. But I could be wrong on this. So, assuming I'm right, I'd say it's possible for the GameCube, and I'm leaving an 'unknown' on the PS2.

There's already an N64 emulator for the GC. The launcher code is included with Phoenix 2.50.

The PS2 is what I'm most interested in - I know it's a bit slower than the Gamecube. Probably no easy way to tell whether it would be possible, huh?

Isn't that just a rip of the emulator used in the Zelda Collector's Edition discs for the GCN? I know there's some emulator floating around that's really just a rip of the emulator off of that disc.

Pretty much, but it does work with a few other games.
