Deep-fried Mars myth is dispelled (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4103415.stm) (source: BBC News Online)
Yes, it's true. We consider slow, painful suicide to be somewhat of a national pastime over here. I even had a couple of these things back when I was at school, and can confirm that it's quite possibly the most sickly thing you'll ever eat. It's a wonder I'm still so very svelte...

I think there've been some places over here doing that also. I can't understand what the attraction would be....<img src=smilies/headshake.gif>

That's actually a carnival/fair favorite....Batter dipped Snickers/Mikly Way/etc deep fried, covered with whipped topping and chocolate syrup....my heart is cringing just at the thought....

Reminds me of a guy at school who microwaved a Mars bar. With the wrapper still on.
Must've taken a while to clean that up.

So what happens to the bar after it's fried? Does it change shape? Melt, congeal? What's it look like?

Hey, I like haggis! And black pudding, which is possibly even more evil-sounding. That's just boiled pig's blood bound in a legnth of intestine.

I've had black pudding before. Wasn't bad. I've never tried haggis though.
